The body of 16-year-old Macheka has been found in Phase 9 Bloemfontein.

The body of Macheka Radebe has been found by a morning passer-by on the 4th of December 2023 after she had been reported missing from her home in Rocklands Bloemfontein since 2 December 2023.

The Bloemspruit police said to have arrived at the crime scene in the early hours and found a female body with a stab wound in a field in Phase 9.

Macheka was allegedly kidnapped on 2 December 2023, her brother stated that the kidnapping took place at about 12H00, the brother stated that at about 12H45 he woke and found Macheka’s room empty.

The brother also stated that he then called her phone and was answered by an unknown male who demanded ransom.

The Police are appeal to the Public with regards to any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators involved.

On the 2 ND of December 2023 at the Beit bridge border, the border patrol guards along with SAPS on a sting operation stopped 42 buses trying to enter South Africa with about 443 children under the age of 8 years with no adult supervision, it is believed that the children were being trafficked into the country.
