  05 December 2023 the Durban Harbour police said to have seized cocaine that is worth 151 million in street value being trafficked in a shipping container from Brazil. Following up on an intelligence the police said to have been monitoring the container’s movements and upon arrival the multidisciplinary team inspected the cold container storage and said to have found 433 blocks of cocaine disguised as meat boxes. No arrest has been made at this stage and the case has been handed over to Director for Priority crime investigation.   The body of Macheka Radebe has been found by a morning passer-by on the 4 th of December 2023 after she had been reported missing from her home in Rocklands Bloemfontein since 2 December 2023. The Bloemspruit police said to have arrived at the crime scene in the early hours and found a female body with a stab wound in a field in Phase 9. Macheka was allegedly kidnapped on 2 December 2023, her brother stated that the kidnapping took place at about 12H00, the brother stated that at about 12H45 he woke and found Macheka’s room empty. The brother also stated that he then called her phone and was answered by an unknown male who demanded ransom.
