  Last year August King Misuzulu ka Zwelinthini won the succession battle and had his traditional coronation and was later crowned the king of the Zulu Kingdom by President Cyril Ramaphosa. However, the Pretoria High Court has ruled the crowning of the Zulu King as unlawful and invalid after the royal family approached the court stating that the rightful heir to the throne should be Prince Mbonisi Zulu and not King Misuzulu. Judge N Davis stated that the recognition of the Zulu King stated in the Government Gazette no 46057 of 17 March 2022 should be set aside as it is invalid and unlawful. The Judge requested that President Cyril Ramaphosa to act in accordance with the terms of Section 8(4) and 8(5) of the traditional and Khoi-San leadership Act 3 of 2019 and requested for the President to conduct an investigation and provide a report in respect of the current ongoing allegations.     The family of 36-year-old Zahara confirms in a media statement that the award winning artist has sadly passed away. In the media statement the family and team expresses their gratitude and support from Zahara’s fans and the country. The family also confirms that the Loliwe hit maker had been admitted in hospital for about a week after complaining of pains and sadly passed away on Monday 11 December 2023. The Multi award winning artist was popularly known for her hit songs such as Loliwe, Umthawalo , Destiny and many more. Zahara also recorded a beautiful tribute to the late Nelson Mandela. President Cyril Ramaphosa speaking to SABC NEWS described Zahara as a talented vibrant and a wonderful composer and he said that her is sadden by her passing.   Police confirm to have found the body of a 6-year-old girl who was reported missing on 06 December 2023 wrapped in a plastic and hidden under the bed in a home of a said perpetrator. The South African police service said the 6-year-old girl was reported missing on 07 December 2023 in NU 13 Inyibaba near Mdantsane. The community is said to have conducted an intensive search for the child and to have received a tip-off of the whereabouts of the child, then a search was conducted at the alleged perpetrator’s house after the search the body of the child was found, it is alleged that the community took matters into their own hands and police were called to the scene where they found a badly injured man who was also naked, the police confirm that the alleged suspect later succumbed to his injuries.   05 December 2023 the Durban Harbour police said to have seized cocaine that is worth 151 million in street value being trafficked in a shipping container from Brazil. Following up on an intelligence the police said to have been monitoring the container’s movements and upon arrival the multidisciplinary team inspected the cold container storage and said to have found 433 blocks of cocaine disguised as meat boxes. No arrest has been made at this stage and the case has been handed over to Director for Priority crime investigation.   The body of Macheka Radebe has been found by a morning passer-by on the 4 th of December 2023 after she had been reported missing from her home in Rocklands Bloemfontein since 2 December 2023. The Bloemspruit police said to have arrived at the crime scene in the early hours and found a female body with a stab wound in a field in Phase 9. Macheka was allegedly kidnapped on 2 December 2023, her brother stated that the kidnapping took place at about 12H00, the brother stated that at about 12H45 he woke and found Macheka’s room empty. The brother also stated that he then called her phone and was answered by an unknown male who demanded ransom.   Why are the 443 children being trafficked into South Africa? On the 2 ND of December 2023 at the Beit bridge border, the border patrol guards along with SAPS on a sting operation stopped 42 buses trying to enter South Africa with about 443 children under the age of 8 years with no adult supervision, it is believed that the children were being trafficked into the country. Though the story is still developing it is still unclear as to why these children are being trafficked into South Africa and what was the intention. In another developing story the South African Police Service confirm to have rescued at least 33 males suspected to be victims of Human Trafficking.
